For extra-dry climates or re-humidifying a dried-out guitar, we recommend the Oasis® Guitar Humidifier. The body is made from a specially designed fabric that allows water vapor, but not water, to pass through it. As the vapor transmission takes place, a vacuum is created, and the Oasis unit shrinks to compensate for the loss of water. The Oasis unit contains Humigel™ water-absorbing crystals, which capture up to 500 times their weight in water and trap them in a super-absorbent gel matrix to provide a second layer of protection against potential leaks. Because tap and bottled water contain dissolved minerals that can clog the liner, distilled water is recommended to extend the useful life of your humidifier
