Grow fresh Sage at home!
Referenced in writing as far back as the 1500s, sage is known for its positive effects on cooking - and the brain. Shown to enhance cognition in a manner similar to caffeine, this food-friendly herb is a wise choice for your smart garden.
Click & Grow Sage benefits:
- Sage enhances memory and other cognitive functions
- Sage is often used to treat digestive disorders
- Can be easily consumed in a tea or herb form
- Sage is the perfect addition to home gourmet food
- Super easy to grow in your Click & Grow indoor garden
Plant Care:
- There is no limit to the number of seedlings per pod for Sage, so no thinning is required. Just let it thrive!
- Sage may appear to be fragile and growing slowly at the beginning, but growth will accelerate in a few weeks.
- In approximately one month it should be ready for the first harvest. Gently trim off the tips of the plant leaving at least two pairs of true leaves to grow. More shoots will appear soon!
- If your plants have been growing strongly and are about to touch the lamp, feel free to cut the stems back instead of raising the lamp even more.
- Harvested too much or need room for new plant pods? No worries, Sage is great for drying and saving for later.
- Just lay the leaves on a paper towel sheet to dry. Sage will dry faster if you remove the leaves from the stem. You can store Sage in a jar for up to a year.
Salvia officinalis: Edible plant.
Sprouts in: 7 - 14 days
Harvest in: 5 - 12 weeks
Grows best at: 18°C – 30°C
