Grow fresh Lemon Basil in your indoor herb garden!

Basil is often called the king of herbs for a reason. It is a great source of vitamin A, grows easily and adds flavor to everything from pizza to pasta to salads. Yes, this basil variety really does have that citrusy taste that gives it it's name. Give it a try! Use it in stews, soups or salads. Lemon Basil is a commonly used herb in Thai and Indonesian cuisine.

Click & Grow Basil benefits:

  • Basil is a great source of vitamins and antioxidants
  • Easy to grow in your Click & Grow indoor garden
  • Makes your home cooked meals Michelin start worthy
  • You'll get a garden-to-plate experience from your own kitchen
  • Real tastes and real aromas without any pesticides, herbicides or any other harmful substances

Plant Care:

  • For this herb, there is no limit to the number of seedlings per pod. Just let it thrive!
  • Use one lamp arm to grow basil and avoid raising the lamp too high. If it grows too tall just cut it back, this will also promote new growth- that means more yield.
  • Lemon basil likes to be cut! You can start trimming your plants about a month after planting. You may remove single leaves occasionally... But, for more thriving growth, pinching off the whole tip is recommended - it will grow two new shoots in a week.
  • Trimming your plant will also delay flowering and prevents developing a bitter taste.
  • Please note that basil is an annual plant. It does not last forever. If it has been nearly twelve weeks and the plant looks aged, it is time to replace the pod.
  • It is a privilege to have fresh herbs on hand. But, you may end up having too much yield before the pods' life cycle ends. Feel free to air dry it and store it in a sealed jar up to a year. So easy!

Edible plant.
